Who can apply for the NETELLER MasterCard

The range of customers was already toughened up when back in 2016 due to certain regulations within the payment industry NETELLER stopped offering the NETELLER Credit Card for most residents outside of European Economic Area (EEA) countries. It means that if you are a customer registered from any NON-SEPA country you cannot apply for the card. In most of those countries the card can still be used, but to be sure we recommend to get in touch with NETELLER Support first to check if you really can use the card there.

All EEA residents can apply for the Net+ Prepaid card ONLY if your account is already verified. Once the verification for your NETELLER account is confirmed you can select the “Net+ cards” link from the left-side menu of your account. You will be prompted to a few simple steps to finish your order:

  • Click on the green button “Get Net+ Prepaid MasterCard”.
  • Confirm your email address.
  • Choose the currency for your card keeping in mind that FX fee (3.99% for non-VIP accounts) will occur if the currency of your NET+ card is different than the currency of your NETELLER account.
  • Select a four-digit PIN fro your card.
  • Click the green Confirm button when you have chosen your PIN and currency.

The NETELLER MasterCard will be shipped to your address and a shipping fee of 10 EUR applies for all users, besides VIPs with Silver status and higher.

I did not receive my NETELLER MasterCard

Please make sure that your registered address is correct to ensure the successful delivery of the card. You should receive your NET+ MasterCard up to 10 business days after submitting your application within your NETELLER account, but in case you haven’t get it yet after this time frame you need to contact the NETELLER Help team to track your order with the company which is physically shipping the cards.

You can either call at the NETELLER Support number or send an email through the Support section by selecting a category “Prepaid card”

My NETELLER MasterCard was lost or stolen – what can I do?

One of the most common NETELLER MasterCard issues is a stolen or lost card. If your Net+ Credit Card has been lost, stolen or compromised by anyhow we recommend to call immediately to the NETELLER “Lost & Stolen card” line at +44 20 7526 9219 to have it deactivated and replaced. You can alternatively report it through the Net+ Cards section of your account:

  • Click on the “Replace a lost, stolen or damaged card” link under the “Retrieve PIN” tab.
  • You will be able to choose the type of replacement you need from the available drop-down menu, review your shipping address and proceed.
  • Once you click on the Continue button, you will be prompted to review the currency of your new card, set your own PIN for it and confirm your decision by clicking on the “Get Replacement Net+ card” button.

My NETELLER MasterCard got damaged

If the plastic of your Net+ MasterCard has been damaged or some of the details on the card are not readable anymore you have two possible options to report it and receive a replacement.

  • Go to the Net+ Cards section of your account and click on the “Replace a lost, stolen or damaged card” link under the “Retrieve PIN” tab, select “Replace” from the drop-down menu and make sure your shipping address is correct. Then just click “Get Replacement Net+ card” button.

My NETELLER MasterCard payment was declined

You can use your NETELLER Credit Card for withdrawing cash from 2.1 million ATMs worldwide also to make contactless transfers and purchases online. Please note that before making a contactless payment with your NET+ card you need to make sure that it has been already activated through your NETELLER account and has been used for at least one transaction where a PIN is required.

Nevertheless, your transaction can be still declined and there are some possible reasons for an unsuccessful transfer:

  • NETELLER MasterCard issues with the merchant POS contactless reader.
  • a connection issue at the merchant terminal.
  • the transaction amount exceeds the transaction/daily limits.
  • reached contactless velocity limits.
  • the contactless chip might be damaged. Please try different terminals and contact support otherwise.

NETELLER MasterCard Issues – Unauthorized transactions with my card

Other NETELLER MasterCard Issues can be unauthorized transactions with the credit card. They are always possible as it can happen as with any other prepaid or debit card. If you notice that a transfer made without your consent is present in the transaction history of your NETELLER account you should immediately report the card through the Lost-Stolen procedure and fill out the “Disputed transactions” form.

In the meantime you should also contact the merchant in regards to the respective transfers, so they can issue a refund if applicable according to their T&Cs. NETELLER will also open a disputed transaction case after your transaction has been cleared. The same procedure applies if you haven’t received your funds when cashing out from ATM – you need to fill in the Disputed transactions form by choosing “The ATM did not dispense money”. Once you submit your request the department in charge will contact the respective ATM owner (the bank) and will look into your case. Please note, there is no guarantee to get the funds back. This will be decided on a case-by-case basis.

When comes to pricing, accounts with Silver VIP status or higher don’t pay shipping and handling fee, but regular accounts are charged with 10 EUR for ordering the card.

For ATM withdrawals there is a 1.75% fee which applies to all accounts except Gold VIPs and higher, for which the ATM withdrawal fee is capped at $6. Paying in shops (POS – point of sale) is free as long as the currencies match. When using a Net+ PrePaid MasterCard in a different currency than your NETELLER account or when performing a transaction in a different currency than your Net+ Card you are charged with a 1.29-3.99% FX currency exchange fee, depending on your NETELLER VIP Status.

To avoid FX fees, choose the currency of the country that you want to use the card primarily. All fees are charged directly from your NETELLER account. The Net+ Prepaid MasterCard is available in eight currencies: GBP, USD, EUR, CAD, SEK, DKK, AUD, and JPY.
