bet365 Odds: Display, Margins, Comparison
bet365 odds explained: switch the odds format, spot the margin, compare odds with other bookmakers and read live odds the right way before you place a bet.
The odds are the price of your bet. At bet365 you see them before every bet, and they decide how much your stake returns if you win. This guide explains how to switch the display, spot the margin and compare the odds with those of other bookmakers. It is general information, not a tip on any match.
How do you read the odds at bet365?
Decimal odds show the total return per stake. At 2.50, a €10 stake returns €25: €15 profit plus your stake. In the settings you can usually switch the display to fractional or American odds. Help with the controls is in the bet365 help centre.
How do you spot the margin?
For every outcome of a market, take the inverse of the decimal odds and add them up. An example with two outcomes at odds of 1.90 and 1.90 gives about 105 per cent. The 5 per cent above 100 is the margin. The smaller it is, the better the price for you.
How do you compare bet365 with other bookmakers?
Take the same match and the same market and put the odds side by side. Compare only like with like, for example home win or draw in a football match. If you bet often, keep two accounts and take the better price each time. More in bet365 compared with other bookmakers and in the sports betting guide.
What applies to live odds?
Live odds change with the match. Between your click and the confirmation the odds can jump, and some markets are briefly suspended, for example after a goal. Take your time instead of betting in a hurry, and check the odds in the bet slip before you confirm.
How are odds and bonus linked?
Many bonuses require minimum odds for a bet to count. If you want to use the bonus, you have to choose bets that fit. Our bonus comparison explains this.
How do you stay in control?
Only stake money you can afford to lose and use the deposit limits in your account. Help is available from BeGambleAware. With an account via bet365 at eWO you also get our help with account questions.
Frequently asked questions

Does bet365 have the best odds?
Not always. Odds vary by match and market. A quick comparison before the bet shows where the price is better.
