Bulgaria's Fibank will offer crypto through Bitpanda in its My Fibank app. What the partnership means, and what stays the same for you.
Bulgarian bank Fibank and Bitpanda signed a strategic partnership on 12 October 2026. Fibank customers are meant to trade crypto through Bitpanda inside the My Fibank app, from a €1 minimum investment. For existing Bitpanda customers nothing changes.
Fibank (First Investment Bank) announced the deal in a press release of 12 October 2026. Customers apply for access in the app. Those Bitpanda accepts use Bitpanda’s interface inside My Fibank around the clock. Fibank calls itself the first bank in Bulgaria to offer this.
The service runs on Bitpanda Enterprise, the business unit for banks and companies. According to the release it supplies infrastructure, liquidity, custody and payments. Named partners include N26, Société Générale, Deutsche Börse Group and selected Raiffeisen banks.
The press release gives no launch date. Trade site The Paypers reports a launch in early 2027 and more than one million Fibank customers. Neither detail appears in the release we read. No source names fees, tradable coins or acceptance criteria.
Fibank itself points out that crypto assets are not deposits or financial instruments. There is no guarantee and no deposit protection scheme.
In short: nothing, unless you bank with Fibank. Your Bitpanda account, its terms and the starter bonus via eWO stay as described on our Bitpanda page. The news shows crypto providers moving into everyday banking through partner banks. It says nothing about prices and is not a recommendation to buy crypto.
We will report when Fibank names a start date and terms.
