The year 2025 with a bar chart and logos of Skrill, Neteller, MiFinity and AstroPay

In 2025 most of the news came from MiFinity and AstroPay, while Skrill and Neteller made headlines with a trading broker deal. We only included items we could find, with a date, in a primary source or the trade press.

Which providers are missing?

For Payz and Luxon Pay we found no sourced item from 2025, so we left both out. That doesn’t mean nothing happened there.

Timeline 2025: 31 January AstroPay payment institution licence in Brazil, 25 February MiFinity Apple Pay, 17 March MiFinity passes 1 million users, 24 July MiFinity Google Wallet, 26 August AstroPay with Rappi, 22 September Skrill and Neteller at CMC Markets

What happened at MiFinity?

Most items came from MiFinity:

  • 25 February: Apple Pay in the MiFinity app. Deposits take “just a few taps”, confirmed by Face ID, fingerprint or passcode. Source: MiFinity, date from European Gaming.
  • 17 March: More than 1 million user accounts. MiFinity also cites 8th place in the UK Fast Growth Index and over 1,000 integrations in 2024. All figures are the provider’s own. Source: MiFinity, date from European Gaming.
  • 24 July: Google Wallet for Android. Cards already stored in Google Wallet can fund the account. It started in the app only, with browser and desktop to follow. Source: MiFinity, date from European Gaming.

What did AstroPay do?

AstroPay focused on Latin America in 2025. On 31 January it announced a payment institution licence from Brazil’s central bank. Source: The Paypers. On 26 August it launched a “wallet-on-file” integration with Rappi: customers in Argentina, Brazil and Peru pay without a card, using balances in dollars, euros or local currency. Source: PYMNTS.

And at Skrill and Neteller?

On 22 September Paysafe announced that the broker CMC Markets now offers Skrill and Neteller. They are the broker’s first digital wallets in the European Economic Area, south-east Asia, the Middle East and other markets, excluding the UK and US. Traders can fund their account and send withdrawals to a bank account, card or another payment method. Source: Paysafe.

What does it mean for you?

For casino and poker players, not much changes. The CMC deal is about trading, and the MiFinity wallet integrations mainly make mobile deposits easier. If you pay from Latin America, check AstroPay’s country list.

Bonuses that apply to you are listed on each provider page. We covered how MiFinity joined eWO in MiFinity is now an eWO partner.
