MiFinity has added Wero to its eWallet. Customers in Belgium and Germany can top up straight from their bank account without a fee.

What is new?

Wero is the European payment method that runs through your banking app. MiFinity announced on 27 May 2026 that Wero is available as a deposit method. Source: MiFinity announcement.

Key figures: 0 fee for Wero deposits, 2 launch countries (Belgium, Germany), over 1 million MiFinity users, 80+ local payment methods

MiFinity says it serves over 1 million users in 223 countries and territories, with more than 80 local payment methods and 18 supported currencies. Wero joins them as another way to deposit. The announcement gives no figures on Wero usage.

How does a Wero deposit work?

You pick Wero as the deposit method and confirm the payment in the Wero app, which is linked to your bank account. After the confirmation the money reaches your MiFinity account quickly. You do not type bank details into a form. According to MiFinity the deposit costs nothing extra.

Who can use it?

For now only customers in Belgium and Germany. MiFinity talks about a wider rollout across Europe but names no further countries or dates. The announcement also does not say whether limits apply or whether currencies other than the euro carry a charge.

What does it mean for you?

If you live in Germany and have so far funded your account by card or SEPA transfer, Wero gives you one more fee-free way to deposit. SEPA deposits at MiFinity were already free, as we described when MiFinity became an eWO partner. So the real benefit of Wero is convenience: you approve in your banking app and share no card data.

No account yet? Current conditions and our bonus are on the MiFinity page. You’ll see in your account’s deposit screen whether Wero is available to you.
