Skrill and NETELLER first transfer fee decreased

Around two weeks ago the Skrill and NETELLER first transfer fee policy (p2p transfer) was changed. We are sure that most of you already noticed those changes. New Skrill and NETELLER customers who did not make deposit through bank transfer or credit card and also do not have a VIP status had an increased fee of 10% (100 USD minimum fee) on their first money transfer.

Paysafe now announced some changes about this which are actually really good news. We are really happy about this and did a quick summary here for you.

Let’s jump right in to the details.

Quick Notes about the Skrill and NETELLER first transfer fee changes:

  • From today, April 8th 2020, for all new accounts the 1st transfer fee will be 4.49% only. This is replacing the 10% (100 EUR/USD minimum fee) for the first transfer.
  • The fee for all further transfers will be 4.49% as well. This has been at 2.99% before.
  • Clients who reach the deposit volume for Silver VIP or higher will have free money transfer.

Please also note, clients from Bangladesh need Gold VIP for free money transfer, but with silver VIP they can already reduce the fee to 1.45%.

Skrill and NETELLER first transfer fee – What changes now?

NETELLER and Skrill do not make a difference anymore for first or further transfers. All transfers with accounts that do not have Silver VIP or higher and did not make a deposit to their account through bank transfer or credit card will now have a fee of 4.49% (without any minimum or maximum fee).

To lower this fee you will have to options:

  • make a deposit to the Skrill or NETELLER account to lower the fee to 1.45% (10 USD maximum fee):For Skrill the following deposit options are excluded and do not count for lower fees – deposits from another Skrill account, from NETELLER, with paysafecard or through BitPay.For NETELLER the following deposit options are excluded and do not count for lower fees – deposits from another NETELLER account, from Skrill, with paysafecard, Neosurf, Qiwi or through BitPay.
  • reach silver VIP level or higher to remove the money transfer fee (p2p fee) completely.

Does it change for old accounts as well?

Those Skrill and NETELLER first transfer fee changes come into affect for all accounts created on 8th April 2020 or later. All Skrill and NETELLER accounts created earlier will still have the same fee like before. However, for those accounts the same rules to lower or reduce the fee do apply.

You just need to make a deposit or reach silver VIP or higher. The fee will then change for those accounts too.

Even if old accounts do not benefit it is safe to say that this is some really great news. We received lots of feedback after the last changes and we are sure that the clients and partners will be happy that Paysafe decided to lower it again for them.
