Where Skrill USA stands in 2020

Skrill VISA USA Card has arrived. It was quite a long way for Skrill Inc until they have became the first fully licensed digital wallet in the state of New Jersey for online gambling back in 2015. It took even more time to also start offering their own Skrill Card for the USA.
Until now, US citizens could not make any gambling deposits. They could use their eWallet balances for Person to Person and e-commerce transfers only.

Nowadays, US users are allowed to send and receive payments to and from other members. As well as customers of the Skrill Limited and Paysafe Group network and specific merchants that are US licensed and have opted in to participate in the Skrill USA network.

To register a Skrill account is free of charge, but make sure that you login or makes a transaction at least every 12 months.
This is important because if you fail, a fee of 5 USD will be deducted from your account balance every month.
In addition, all deposits options are also free for now. You can use your US-issued credit/debit VISA or MasterCard, bank account held by you at an U.S. bank or other financial US institution, money transfer from another member or a paysafecard pre-paid voucher. When it comes to local deposit options there are not plenty available yet and you can either use ACH or Rapid Transfer which was expanded into the US in partnership with Skrill USA.

US users can also withdraw their funds to their registered bank accounts or whenever sending or receiving funds between Skrill accounts for free.

The Skrill US Affiliate and Skrill VIP program now have been launched too. Any Skrill USA customer is eligible for the Skrill VIP USA Program once 15,000 USD in gambling transfers were done within a quarter. Additionally, the  VIP Status will apply for the next Quarter as well.

The Skrill Card was just recently enabled for users of the Skrill Inc entity and US customers can now get free access to the Skrill Card USA and spend their account balances worldwide, wherever VISA ® is accepted as payment method. The only difference in regards to the Skrill Prepaid MasterCard offered to US citizens is the card issuer – VISA replaces MasterCard on the US market.

How to apply for the Skrill VISA Card

All US residents who hold a verified account may enjoy the benefits of the Skrill VISA USA Card and can apply for one. To do this you just need to follow the steps below:

  1. Login to your account and go to the ‘Skrill Card’ section.
  2. Now choose the currency of your Skrill VISA USA Card (will be pre-defined as USD).
  3. You will receive your Skrill VISA Prepaid Card to the registered address in your account. In case you are no longer residing at that address, please contact the Skrill Support team for further assistance.
  4. Then agree with any applicable fees displayed on the screen and click on ‘Apply now’.

After your application, you will receive the card at the registered address within 5-10 business days. Activate your Skrill VISA USA afterwards by setting up a 4-digit card PIN-code.

Hie l once wrote to skrill but no response yet. I use an American Bank card though am based in Africa. I use United Nations Federal Credit Union card but am failing to register it for withdrawals. I can’t see USA on the country list and my swift code is giving an error though its the one for my bank. Can l be assisted on how to go about this. I have been trying to deposit to my skrill using debit visa card but l get a general server error every time.
